David’s extensive TV credits include SATISFACTION, SMALL CLAIMS, LAST MAN STANDING, MDA, A DIVIDED HEART and THE SECRET LIFE OF US.

NIDA graduate Claire van der Boom has been tagged as one of Australia’s brightest young stars and has starred in the short film KATOOMBA (Best Fiction, Dendy Awards, 2007 Sydney Film Festival), as well as critically acclaimed television show LOVE MY WAY. Most recently she played one of the leading ladies in THE PACIFIC, the companion piece to Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg’s BAND OF BROTHERS and she has just commenced work on RUSH, John Edwards’ latest TV series.
THE SQUARE is Claire’s feature film debut.

Anthony Hayes is a renowned Australian screen actor with a string of impressive film credits including THE BOYS, BOOTMEN, NED KELLY, RABBIT PROOF FENCE, LOOK BOTH WAYS, SUBURBAN MAYHEM, WEST and NEWCASTLE.
Anthony's outstanding film performances in SUBURBAN MAYHEM and LOOK BOTH WAYS garnered him the AFI for Best Supporting Actor two years running in 2005 and 2006. He directed his first feature in 2007, TEN EMPTY.

In 2001, Joel Edgerton became a household name through his popular role as Will on the internationally successful TV series THE SECRET LIFE OF US, for which he won an AFI Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Television Drama in 2002.
Joel’s experience extends across a wide range of films locally and internationally, including, KING ARTHUR, KINKY BOOTS, STAR WARS II & III, SMOKIN’ ACES, NED KELLY, OPEN WINDOW, The NIGHT WE CALLED IT A DAY, THE HARD WORD, PRAISE and more recently ACOLYTES.
He started his career on stage and over the years has worked with The Sydney Theatre Company, The Bell Shakespeare Company and The Melbourne Theatre Company. His most recent stage outing was the 2007 MTC production of Martin McDonough’s THE PILLOWMAN.
THE SQUARE is his feature film-writing debut.
Peter Phelps is one of Australia’s busiest and best–known actors, appearing in dozens of film, television and theatre productions. After spending four years in the US, Peter wrote a best selling book “Sex Without Madonna – True Confessions of a Hired Gun in Tinsel town”, a wry look at his years in Hollywood. His role in the TV series STINGERS, won him the highly coveted Silver Logie Award in 2002. Peter’s film credits include PLAYING BEATIE BOW, ROUGH DIAMONDS, LANTANA, NED KELLY and FOOTY LEGENDS. In 2007, Peter also began directing episodes of ALL SAINTS and NEIGHBOURS. In THE SQUARE, Peter plays the role of Jake, Ray’s construction site foreman who makes a fatal discovery.
With a career spanning over five decades, Bill Hunter is widely regarded as one of Australia’s acting “legends”. He has been a prolific television, film and stage actor since the early sixties and his popularity amongst the general public and film industry alike has grown to almost National Treasure status. Bill has starred in over fifty feature films, of which his most notable movie roles include GALLIPOLI, SCALES OF JUSTICE, FRONTLINE, NEWSFRONT, STRICTLY BALLROOM, MURIEL’S WEDDING and THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT. He has been awarded seven AFI awards for his Film and Television performances and among many other accolades was given The Centenary Medal for Service to Acting in 2003.
In 2003, Bill also provided the voice of the dentist in FINDING NEMO and in 2007 returned to his film role in the musical theatre smash hit THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT. In THE SQUARE, Bill plays Ray’s boss, Gil Hubbard.
Damon has been working as an actor since the age of eight, making his debut in THE SULLIVANS. His credits include the films CANDY, THE BIG STEAL, NED, PRAISE, and the American horror film HOUSE OF WAX. On television, Damon was most recently seen as Claudia Karvan’s adoring co-worker, George in LOVE MY WAY. His other TV credits include STUPID STUPID MAN, STINGERS, WATER RATS, ALL SAINTS, MURDER CALL, BRIDES OF CHRIST, GP, O’LOGHLIN ON SATURDAY NIGHT, ELLY AND JOOL and the remake of SOUTH PACIFIC. Damon has also worked with all the major NSW theatre companies, including the Sydney Theatre Company, Company B Belvoir, the Ensemble and Griffin.
In recent years he has also begun working in Los Angeles. His U.S. credits include the television series THE UNIT and THE LOOP, as well as acclaimed writer/director David Mamet’s new film, REDBELT. The 20 minute short SOAR which he wrote and performed in recently made its U.S. television debut on The Sundance Channel. Damon has been a longtime friend and collaborator on short films and music clips with Nash Edgerton.
After attending the Joan Cowan School of Drama and spending four years with the Australian Theatre for Young People, Brendan has worked in radio, television, film and theatre. Brendan’s TV credits include roles on HOME AND AWAY, POLICE RESCUE, MURDER CALL, ALL SAINTS and WATER RATS as well as starring in POSTCARD BANDITS STRIKE TEAM and BBC TV’s SEE HOW THEY RUN, Brendan has acted in several shorts and features including DYING BREED and BLACK ROCK before his role as Leonard in THE SQUARE.
Kieran has been active both in front of and behind the camera since graduating from drama school in Sydney in 1995. He co-founded Blue-Tongue Films with Nash and Joel Edgerton and under the Blue-Tongue banner has written, directed, scored and starred in a number of award-winning, internationally acclaimed short films and music videos. His work in music videos and photography has led to collaborations with some of Australia’s top mainstream and independent artists, including Alex Lloyd, Kasey Chambers, You Am I, Amiel, Shane Nicholson and Troy Cassar-Daley. Kieran’s television roles include DANGEROUS, MCLEOD’S DAUGHTERS, BLUE HEELERS, ALL SAINTS, WILDSIDE and STUPID, STUPID MAN.
Kieran’s feature film roles include SEPTEMBER, THE CAVE, TWO HANDS and THE SQUARE.
Born in the UK and raised in Sydney, Australia, Lucy graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts NIDA in 1991. Since then she has worked across film, television, theatre and radio. Lucy’s stage credits include The Sydney Theatre Company’s THE CHERRY ORCHARD, The Bell Shakespeare Company’s PERICLES and TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Richard Roxburgh for Company B. On Television, Lucy has starred in among others A COUNTRY PRACTICE, WILDSIDE, FARSCAPE and most recently in ALL SAINTS and the ABC TV’s BASTARD BOYS. Some of Lucy’s most notable film credits include Gillian Armstrong’s OSCAR AND LUCINDA, THANK GOD HE MET LIZZIE, THE WOGBOY, TEN EMPTY and now THE SQUARE.
At just sixteen years old, Hanna Mangan-Lawrence has already amassed an impressive string of credits since beginning her film career in 2005. As well as excelling in the acting arena, Hanna has represented Australia overseas as a member of the elite gymnastics team. This young talented actor, a student of the prestigious Newtown Performing Arts School has already starred in several films including the short SEXY THING which screened at the 2006 Cannes International Film Festival. Other film credits include SIMULATION 1201, GALORE and ACOLYTES. Hanna will become known to TV audiences through the soon to air ABC TV series BED OF ROSES, alongside Kerry Armstrong.
